Matthew Brown

WB_Photo_Matthew_BMatthew J. Brown, J.D. is the law clerk for the Veteran’s Department of Wolf & Brown. Matthew was born and raised in Somerdale, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rider University, where he majored in Political Science. After earning his degree, he began working for Wolf & Brown as a paralegal in the Social Security department. After working as a paralegal for several years, Matthew began his journey of attending and graduating law school.

Prior to law school he earned his certificate from Widener University School of Law. After, he moved to Lansing, Michigan, to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While there, he participated in the Lansing Mock Trial Board Competition. He then transferred to Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey. While attending Rutgers Law he worked as a legal intern under the Honorable Karen L. Suter, P.J.Ch. During his time with Judge Suter, he researched, analyzed, and authored drafts of decisions on opposed and unopposed motions in the Chancery Division including issues of Summary Judgment, Notice of Intention to Foreclose, Guardianship, Injunctive Relief, Will Validity, Executor Duties, and Sheriff’s Sale. Also, while attending Rutgers, he resumed working for Wolf & Brown writing appellate briefs for clients appearing before the District Court of New Jersey. Matthew graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2015.

After graduation, Matthew began working as a law clerk for Alderman & Associates in Marlton, New Jersey. While there, he drafted closing briefs and exceptions for submission to the Office of Administrative Law, including disciplinary issues involving law enforcement officers, and drafted state appellate briefs on issues including appeals of determinations made by the Civil Service Commission. After a year of working for Alderman & Associates, Matthew once again came back to Wolf & Brown and became the full-time law clerk for the Veteran’s Department under Michael J. Brown, Esq.
