Matthew J. Brown, Esq. is the accredited VA attorney for Wolf & Brown.  Matthew graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law-Camden in 2015.  He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 2019 and accredited by the VA to prepare, present, and prosecute veteran’s claims and appeals in November 2019.  Prior to his admittance to the New Jersey State Bar, he worked for three years as the veterans’ law clerk at Wolf & Brown.

His practice focuses solely on claims and appeals before the Veterans Administration for disability compensation and dependency and indemnity compensation.  This can include appeals for denial of entitlement to service-connection, unfavorable rating decisions, clear and unmistakable error claims, reopening prior final VA decisions, higher-level reviews, effective date claims, and appeals.

Prior to Rutgers Law, he attended Thomas M. During his time with Judge Suter, he researched, analyzed, and authored drafts of decision on opposed and unopposed motion in the Chancery Division, including issues of Summary Judgment, Notice of Intention to Foreclose, Guardianship, Injunctive Relief, Will Validity, Executor Duties, and Sherriff’s Sale.  Additionally, during law school, he wrote appellate briefs regarding Social Security Disability appeals before the District Court of New Jersey for Philip Wolf, Esq.

After graduation, Matthew worked for Alterman & Associates in Marlton, New Jersey.  His work at Alterman consisted of employment and labor law including issues of discipline involving law enforcement officers and appeals of disability determinations made by the Civil Service Commission.  After a year at Alterman, Matthew rejoined Wolf & Brown and has exclusively worked on VA disability matters since.
