Veterans Can Rest Assured That Benefits Will Continue to be Processed

The PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is reassuring veterans that state and federal benefits are still being processed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The DMVA is working with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide veterans with information remotely about benefits and will continue to attend to all other needs during this time.

According to an article published by Daily Local News, Maj. Gen. Anthony Carrelli, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general and head of the DMVA was quoted as saying “The COVID-19 life restrictions and family impacts are unlike anything that has happened in our history and has created more hardship and need throughout the Pennsylvania veterans’ community…Our Office of Veterans Affairs has reset to comply with the CDC guidelines and is working to make sure our veterans continue to receive the benefits they have earned.”

The DMVA offers various programs to meet the needs of veterans including but not limited to Records Requests, Military Family Relief Assistance, Amputee, Paralyzed and Blind Veterans Pension, Disabled Veteran Real Estate Tax Exemption Program, etc.
